"After the war he continued to work for the Civil Service, Post Office (Telecoms) and was selling Telex machines and Switchboards (inc PABX) to businesses in Liverpool and also in the Isle of Man. I can remember going to the Pier head on the bus from Speke with my mum to meet him coming back on the ferry from regular trips to the Isle of Man. He nearly always brought me a new Dinky toy! He could read Telex tape as it came through, which I thought was amazing!"
