How do I start writing?
I’m wrestling with how to start writing my manuscript. I’ve collected plenty of material and done research but still feel there is more research to do before I start writing. On the other hand I have to realise that readers will not be interested in side-tracking or details, so what’s the point of doing more research?
So I’ve now decided to just focus on writing about one ancestor. All I need to do is organise all the information about that one person and then WRITE!

I think that’s a wise decision, not to get stuck in thought details. I find that the ‘creative’ part of doing anything is most optimal with the absence of predetermined thoughts.
Looking forward to read more of your thoughts about your thoughts 🙂
Very true! I have the tendency to want to write from notes from my research but I now realise that I will then be writing a factual story rather than a sort of novel.
