Research doesn’t always reveal interesting stories

I’ve spent a few days researching the Starie branch of my ancestors, the fore-fathers of my grandad John Starie Handley. They were farmers in Shropshire, England. My grandfather’s grandfather lived on Hemm Farm in Coreley in 1861, as did the previous nine generations. My the will of Thomas Starie, written just before his death in 1590, stating him as owner of The Hemm.

This research hasn’t revealed a story of general interest so I won’t be writing about it in my book.
